The Challenge

Too many girls in Liberia are still denied the right to education.

Barriers like poverty, early marriage, teenage pregnancy, and gender-based discrimination keep countless girls out of school—or push them to drop out too soon. Cultural expectations often prioritize domestic roles over classroom learning, leaving girls behind their male peers in enrollment, retention, and academic success.

Without education, these girls are more likely to remain in cycles of poverty, face exploitation, and miss the opportunity to become active contributors to their communities.

Our Response

At HopeGivers Ministries, we believe that when you educate a girl, you transform her future—and the future of her family, community, and nation.

Through our Girls’ Education Initiative, we are taking action to:

Remove financial barriers by providing school fees, uniforms, supplies, and sanitary products.
Provide girls with life skills and mentorship to build self-worth, leadership, and resilience.
Engage families and communities in promoting girls’ education as a shared priority.
Create safe and inclusive learning environments, free from abuse, stigma, or fear.
Collaborate with schools and partners to champion gender equity at every level of education.
