The Problem
In many parts of Liberia, pastors and ministry leaders are serving without formal training, biblical resources, or spiritual mentorship.
Many were called into ministry out of necessity during or after the civil crisis, but never had access to theological education or leadership development. As a result, churches often struggle with doctrinal errors, burnout, disunity, and shallow discipleship.
Meanwhile, rising leaders—especially in rural and under-resourced communities—remain isolated, under-equipped, and unsupported as they try to shepherd congregations and navigate complex social issues.
Our Response
The HopeGivers Training Project exists to close this gap. We believe that strong, biblically grounded leaders are essential to strong churches—and strong churches are essential to nation-building.
