The Problem

Liberia’s youth carry the scars of decades of civil unrest, community conflict, and systemic instability.

Even years after the war, the ripple effects are still felt—divided communities, tribal tension, political distrust, and cycles of violence. Many young people have grown up seeing conflict as a way of life, rather than learning peaceful alternatives for resolving issues.

Without early intervention, these young minds are vulnerable to manipulation, radicalization, and retaliation—keeping the nation stuck in cycles of fear and frustration.

Our Response

At HopeGivers Ministries, we believe peace must begin with the youth. Through our Youth Peacebuilding Project, we nurture a culture of unity, tolerance, and reconciliation—grounded in the teachings of Christ.

This project provides:

Peace education workshops that teach conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and civic responsibility.
Youth forums and dialogues that bring together young people from different tribes, faiths, and backgrounds.
Community service activities where youth collaborate to solve local problems and build mutual respect.
Storytelling and trauma healing sessions that help participants process pain and promote forgiveness.
Leadership development and discipleship, so youth can return to their homes as peace ambassadors.

Everything we do is designed to help young people see themselves—not as victims of their history—but as architects of a peaceful future.

Prevent youth involvement in violence, riots, and social unrest.
Foster inter-tribal friendships and understanding, breaking down inherited bias.
Equip youth with practical tools to defuse tension in their schools, churches, and communities.
Promote long-term healing from war-related trauma and bitterness.
Raise up a new generation of peacebuilders, bridge-builders, and reconcilers.
