The Challenge

In many communities across Liberia, single mothers bear the weight of poverty, stigma, and social neglect—alone.

Whether abandoned by partners, widowed by disease or conflict, or left vulnerable by systemic injustice, these women struggle daily to provide food, shelter, education, and emotional support for their children.

Without support systems, many are forced into survival-mode decisions—taking on unsafe jobs, pulling children out of school, or becoming victims of exploitation and abuse. Their children, in turn, are more likely to suffer malnutrition, emotional trauma, school dropouts, and generational cycles of poverty.

Our Response

Through the Single Mother Initiatives, HopeGivers Ministries steps in as a lifeline—offering dignified, Christ-centered support that uplifts both mothers and their children.

Our key interventions include:

Emergency Relief – Food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare for struggling mothers

Vocational Training – Skills development in sewing, catering, agriculture, and trade

Mental Health & Counseling – Faith-based trauma healing and emotional support

Childcare & Education Support – Helping single moms keep their children in school

Fellowship & Community – Creating safe spaces for single mothers to grow, share, and support one another

Micro-Enterprise Support – Providing small grants or tools to launch income-generating activities

Our approach is holistic, restoring dignity, opportunity, and purpose, while reminding each woman that she is seen, loved, and valued by God.
