Vulnerable Youth
Outreach
Bringing love, care, and restoration to Liberia’s most vulnerable children.
The Problem
Across Liberia, tens of thousands of young people—commonly labeled as “Zogoes”—live in the shadows of society.
Homeless, addicted, and often survivors of trauma, many of these youth find themselves trapped in street life, abandoned ghettos, and high-risk environments. They’ve been written off as criminals, thieves, or nuisances—but behind each label is a story of pain, brokenness, and lost opportunity.
Stigma, addiction, poverty, and lack of access to basic services make reintegration nearly impossible. And without intervention, these young lives spiral further into hopelessness, violence, and early death—while society looks the other way.
Our Response
At HopeGivers Ministries, we don’t see “Zogoes”—we see God’s children with unrealized potential. Through our Vulnerable Youth Outreach initiative, we are committed to walking into the hard places—into the streets, ghettos, and corners—and extending compassion, connection, and restoration.
This initiative includes:
We believe no one is too far gone for God’s grace—or society’s embrace.
The Change We Seek
We envision a Liberia where no youth is discarded, and where society embraces the call to heal—not reject—its most wounded.
Through this project, we aim to:
